Geospatial in Motion
Program that introduces the next generation to the geospatial field
 What is Geospatial in Motion?
Geospatial in Motion is a T-REX-developed program for learners and educators that allows them to make connections between their educational goals, interests, career plans, and other professionals here in the STL region.
We provide a “crash course” on what geospatial science is and its relevance to our daily experience and concerns. When groups of visitors arrive T-REX, we provide a high-level overview of geospatial science, talk about the work that goes on at T-REX and in the geospatial industry, provide a tour and learning activity, and let them meet and hear from subject matter experts in the field, including geospatial professionals and NGA ambassadors.
Since each event is tailored to the grade level and focus of the visiting class, our hope is for them to walk away energized about geospatial science and GIS, how it’s relevant to what they are learning or their own interests, and ways to continue growing and satisfying their curiosity about the world through a geospatial lens.
